Khalifa University of Science and Technology offers the following scholarships to support qualified international students enrolled in graduate programs. The University reserves the right to make changes to the published scholarship benefits and conditions without prior notice.

MASTERS DEGREE:

The scholarship supports international students pursuing a Master’s degree at Khalifa University. Scholarship eligibility is assessed as part of the admission process and applicants are not required to submit a separate scholarship application. The number of available scholarship slots is limited. All applicants are evaluated and mapped to a specific scholarship Tier on the basis of academic merit and other relevant factors, in line with Khalifa University’s strategic priorities, rules and regulations. Meeting the eligibility criteria for a specific Tier does not guarantee a scholarship award.

Tier I and Tier II

•Full coverage of tuition fees.

•Textbooks provided by the University.

•Free University accommodation for eligible full-time students only.

•Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.

•Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.

•Coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.

Tier III

•50% waiver of tuition fees.

•Textbooks provided by the University.

•Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.

•Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.

•Coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.

Tier IV

•Textbooks provided by the University.

•Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.

•Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.

•Coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.

PhD SCHOLARSHIP:

The scholarship supports international students pursuing a Doctoral degree at Khalifa University. Scholarship eligibility is assessed as part of the admission process and applicants are not required to submit a separate scholarship application. The number of available scholarship slots is limited. All applicants are evaluated and mapped to a specific scholarship Tier on the basis of academic merit, research potential and other relevant factors, in line with Khalifa University’s strategic priorities, rules and regulations. Meeting the eligibility criteria for a specific Tier does not guarantee a scholarship award.

Research Path (with work commitment)

Scholarship offered to full-time PhD students only. Students are reassessed for scholarship eligibility annually.

Tier I (Full-Time only)

•Full coverage of tuition fees.

•Basic monthly stipend of 20,000 AED.

•Additional monthly allowance of 20,000 AED, subject to approval and meeting scholarship progression criteria.

•Textbooks provided by the University.

•Support to attend international research conferences, subject to approval.

•Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.

•Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.

•Coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.

•Commitment to work with Khalifa University or a nominated entity upon graduation for a period equivalent to the period of study. The University reserves the right for any reason not to offer the student a post after graduation.

Tier II (Full-Time only)

•Full coverage of tuition fees.

•Basic monthly stipend of 20,000 AED.

Additional monthly allowance of •10,000 AED, subject to approval and meeting scholarship progression criteria.

•Textbooks provided by the University.

•Support to attend international research conferences, subject to approval.

•Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.

•Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.

•Coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.

Tier III (Full-Time only)

•75% waiver of tuition fees.

•Monthly stipend of 20,000 AED.

The Axel Adler Scholarship is the University of Gothenburg’s main scholarship programme for fee paying students pursuing eligible Master’s programmes at the University.

Scholarships cover the tuition fee of the programme you are admitted to. It is a tuition fee waiver only; no additional financial support for living expenses or travel grants are provided.

Eligibility:

You are eligible to apply for the scholarship if you meet the criteria listed below:

• You are required to pay tuition in Sweden.

• You need to apply for an international campus-based programme at the University of Gothenburg, as your first priority.

• You have applied and been admitted to a full-time Master programme or Bachelor programme (for Bachelor Programme only Software Engineering, International Relations and Business and Economics) at the University of Gothenburg.

• You can only be eligible for the scholarship for the programme that is your first priority at the University of Gothenburg on 15 January 2024 in the international admission round at www.universityadmission.se.

• You have submitted your application for studies by 15 January 2024 and paid the application fee and documented your eligibility for studies by 1 February 2024 through universityadmissions.se.

Application instructions:

To be considered for the scholarships, you must have applied for a Master’s Programme via universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2024. Only applicants with a University of Gothenburg programme as their first choice are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

Eligible students will receive an email with application instructions around 8 February 2024.

Eotvos Lorand University Hungarian Scholarship 2024-25

Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship program for foreign students, which was launched by the Hungarian Government in 2013. The program aims to promote cultural understanding, economic and cultural relations between Hungary and other countries.

The scholarship can be awarded to citizens from almost 80 countries and sending partners for full degree or partial (exchange) studies.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Nationality and country of residence: Candidates’ must be nationals of one of the 29 eligible countries and must be a resident of one of these countries (not necessarily the same country) at the time of application.

• Age: candidates’ age on January 1 of the year of intake must be no higher than 35 for an initial master and 45 for an advanced master.

• Professional background and experience: Preference will be given to candidates employed in higher education, government or civil society, or those targeting a career in one of these sectors. Candidates employed in the private sector or newly graduated candidates with no work experience may also be considered if they provide a strong motivation and profile.

• Scholarship applications: Candidates may apply for only one ICP Connect scholarship application per year.

• Previously awarded scholarships: Candidates may not have previously received a scholarship from the Belgian government to attend a study programme and may not have enrolled in a study programme at a Belgian higher education institution before January 1 of the year of intake.

When you apply for the programme, be sure to mention whether you wish to apply for a scholarship. Course Description

The Understanding Dementia MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) was developed by the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre based in the College of Health and Medicine at the University of Tasmania. This world-leading online course is free, easily accessible and available to everyone with an interest in dementia.

The ageing of human populations across the globe has contributed to dementia being identified as one of the public health issues of the 21st century. The MOOC curriculum addresses this health issue by drawing upon the expertise of neuroscientists, clinicians and dementia care professionals from both within the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, and beyond.

Since 2013, the Understanding Dementia has received over 380,000 enrolments from all around the world. We invite you to join our community and learn about the diseases that cause dementia, how the condition affects the person with dementia, and how we can provide the best quality care.

Once the course commences, you will be able to log in to engage with the course content and activities, and share perspectives with other participants. The course is scheduled to close on 29th January, 2024 at 5:00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).

To get the most out of this experience, you should expect to spend approximately 3 hours per week completing the course activities for the 7 weeks of scheduled content. The additional 5 weeks that the course is open is to allow you to catch up or revisit content.

You can work through the content at any time of day and at your own pace until the course closes. This includes revisiting earlier released content as needed.

Once you have completed the course, you will be eligible to download a free, personalised certificate of completion. We also offer paid enhanced certificate options in addition to the free certificate.
